Your Role: As an Actuarial Analyst, you will conduct complex analyses on pricing under reserving, investigate changes in external environments, and assess their impact on the business. Also, occasionally lead projects of moderate complexity.

Your work:

  • Gather and clean up data, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis

  • Perform data analysis, conduct rate review, and recommend changes to new and existing insurance products

  • Assist in the preparation of rate filing materials, exhibits, and other filing support data

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including state product management, finance, and claims, to provide actuarial support.

  • Understand business requirements, provide project updates, and communicate results

  • Follow industry developments, trends, market landscape, and emerging actuarial methods and tools

  • Provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area

  • At least 4 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines pricing insurance

  • Completion of 4 or more actuarial exams

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as: SQL, R, Python, Radar, etc.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

The national average salary range for this position is $110,000-$123,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $99,000-$147,000. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.
