Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or a quantitative field.
• GPA 3.5 or higher.
• At least one actuarial internship or other relevant analytical experience.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, and AI-enabled analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical claims, membership, pricing, and underwriting data to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Conduct actuarial research and experience studies, applying actuarial methods to develop pricing assumptions.
• Evaluate provider network discounts and performance and develop network/PPO factors for rating.
• Develop pricing for medical, dental, and vision plans and collaborate with Underwriting on plan designs.
• Support review and refinement of manual rates, trend assumptions, pricing factors.
• Contribute to development and pricing of new products and benefits.
• Perform loss-ratio and financial analyses to evaluate performance and experience.
• Present findings to actuarial, underwriting, and business partners.
• Take increasing ownership of projects with mentorship from senior staff.
