Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science; 2–5 years of related actuarial experience may substitute for degree; minimum of 2 CAS exams completed.
• Must have P&C insurance experience.
• State filing experience with the DOI for personal lines is preferred.
• Demonstrated competency with actuarial, mathematical and statistical techniques for data-driven decisions.
• Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools and languages (Python, SQL) for analyses.

Responsibilities

• Independently apply complex actuarial methodologies to unstructured projects.
• Develop rates, perform trend analysis, revise rates, and prepare DOI documentation for state filings.
• Coordinate responses to DOI objections with the Lead Actuary.
• Translate business problems into technical requirements and assess data quality for analyses.
• Apply actuarial techniques to augment work product and manage risk.
