Job summary

Farm Family seeks an Actuarial Analyst III to perform and communicate complex actuarial analyses, including pricing, data analyses, and exhibits, with a primary focus on pricing. This 100% in-office role requires collaborating with various actuarial functions to ensure profitability and financial strength.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in a quantitative field, show progress in actuarial principles, complete at least 3 CAS exams, and be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with a strong mathematical background.
• Demonstrated progress in understanding and applying basic actuarial principles.
• Completion of at least 3 CAS exams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn other applications.
• Strong communication, listening, writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Applies fundamental actuarial principles to analyze company and industry data for actuarial analyses.
• Prepares summaries of analyses for distribution to Home Office, Field management, and regulators.
• Completes processes to perform and document actuarial analyses promptly and accurately.
• Assists less experienced analysts with spreadsheets, databases, and data sources.
• Prepares for CAS examinations through on-the-job and self-study.
• Interacts with personnel across Actuarial Operations.
• Provides and requests information about items to include in actuarial analyses such as rate proposals.
• Communicates with regulators to understand state regulations and filing requirements.
• Provides historical experience and data to support renewals and explain trends.
