Imperial Health Plan of California, Inc. is seeking an Actuarial Analyst III to assist the actuarial lead in pharmacy reporting and data analysis.

The role requires extensive pharmacy claims experience and the ability to conduct detailed analyses and deliver timely results. The successful candidate will manage reporting projects, automate processes, and create dashboards using SQL, Power BI, and Excel, while maintaining data integrity and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
• Four or more years of experience in a healthcare or related setting (Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Commercial insurance preferred).
• Must have experience in SQL, Power BI, and Excel; other languages/tools are a bonus.
• Actively pursuing Society of Actuaries exams (at least four).
• 4+ years of SQL reporting and analytics experience; 4+ years designing executive-level reports.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis for the actuarial department and finance teams.
• Engage with outside vendors for pricing, risk score initiatives, and quality measures.
• Produce periodic utilization and cost reporting for stakeholders.
• Support revenue cycle activities and data consolidation efforts.
• Create dashboards and automate processes using SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
• Ensure data accuracy, documentation, and methodological transparency.
• Manage assigned projects and communicate progress to leadership.
• Collaborate with management and other departments; maintain HIPAA compliance.
