CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking an Actuarial Analyst II in Maryland to perform moderate-complexity analyses, manage data from diverse sources, and fulfill ad hoc requests. You will collaborate across teams, prepare regulatory reports, and contribute to actuarial models while pursuing ASA/FSA designation.

The Actuarial Analyst II will perform individual project tasks as requested, execute calculations of moderate complexity, and understand concepts of actuarial analysis that are of varying complexity. The incumbent is responsible for utilizing various sources to procure data and then turning that data into meaningful information, as well as fulfilling ad hoc requests.
Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience: 2 years health insurance actuarial experience.
