Job summary

Children’s Hope Alliance is seeking an ACTT Team Leader to guide clinical care and lead a multidisciplinary team serving youth with complex behavioral health needs.

You will supervise staff, manage case planning, and ensure high-quality, family-centered services while supporting program development and stakeholder collaboration in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a human services or clinical field.
  • Active NC clinical license (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years with children who have serious emotional/behavioral needs.
  • At least 2 years in leadership, supervision, or team management.
  • Experience with evidence-based practices and community-based treatment models.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Valid NC driver’s license; ability to travel within the community.
  • Pre-employment drug screening required; CPR and First Aid certification required; CPI certification required or available through CHA training.

Your Impact in This Role

As ACTT Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in both clinical leadership and team development:

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and support to ACTT staff

Drive Quality Clinical Care

Support Youth and Families
  • Maintain a small caseload to stay connected to direct care
  • Assist youth and families in building stability, independence, and long-term success
  • Promote strengths-based, recovery-oriented services
Collaborate Across Systems
  • Partner with internal leadership and community stakeholders to ensure coordinated care
  • Contribute to program development, utilization management, and service improvements
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new team members
What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s degree in a human services or clinical field
  • Active North Carolina clinical license (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years of experience working with children with serious emotional or behavioral needs
  • At least 2 years of experience in leadership, supervision, or team management
  • Experience with evidence-based practices and community-based treatment models
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Valid NC driver’s license and ability to travel within the community
What to Expect

This is a flexible, hybrid role that includes community engagement, clinical oversight, and team leadership. Some evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities are required to support both staff and families.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Knowledge and at least 3-5 years’ experience in the treatment of children with serious emotional disturbance, with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate school experience, preferably in a community-based model of treatment.
  • Knowledge obtained through completion of a Master degree curriculum in appropriate discipline from accredited institution.
  • Valid clinical NC license in a human service related field (i.e., Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate, LCSW, LPC / LCMHC, LMFT, Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, etc.) Two years post-licensure preferred.
  • At least two year’s skill and experience in staff management, leadership and clinical supervision.
  • Skill and experience in delivery of Evidenced-Based Practices.
  • Skill and experience in group, individual and/or family counseling as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations governing confidentiality, 42CFR/HIPAA.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal program administration regulations.
  • Demonstrates a high standard of professional conduct and ethical behavior that will enhance the quality of care and encourage positive interactions among staff.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Computer skills including but not limited to, Internet access, word processing, report writing and spreadsheet applications necessary to generate appropriate reports allocated to the position of Team Leader.
  • Successful pre-employment drug screening with negative results required.
  • Active CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Active CPI Certification required or able to attain through CHA provided training

  • The work environment will contain slight to moderate office-related noises. The employee is not exposed to extreme weather conditions, toxic fumes, or airborne particles.
  • The employee must occasionally travel to different locations in the course of work.
  • Physical functions which are considered essential to the satisfactory performance of the job include the following: public speaking, reading, typing, writing, using the telephone, driving, therapeutically restraining children and adolescents in crisis situations.
