Job summary

Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking actors for a seasonal/temporary role in immersive, story‑driven experiences. You will inhabit assigned characters and engage guests with spontaneous interactions, keeping a consistent persona throughout shows.

You must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the United States, and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays during the event season. Pay is $20.00 per hour with a late September to early November 2026 schedule.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verified through E-Verify.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Comfortable working in dark, loud environments with strobe effects, fog, and close guest interaction.
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced, high-volume situations.

This is a seasonal actor role in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Performance and Character Immersion: Inhabit your assigned character fully, maintaining a consistent and authentic persona when visible to guests. Use strong improvisational skills to engage spontaneously and convincingly with guests. Adjust your performance in real time based on guest reactions and supervisor feedback.
  • Guest Experience and Interaction: Deliver well-timed scares or character interactions to guide guest flow and maintain pacing. Incorporate creative ad‑libbing and unscripted moments to create personalized guest experiences. Use voice, physicality, and stage presence to support the story and heighten excitement.
  • Attraction- or Event-Specific Performance: Tailor performance style to the specific theme, storyline, and atmosphere of your assigned area or maze. Integrate props, set pieces, and environmental effects into your performance safely and effectively.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Take direction from supervisors and adapt to role changes based on event needs and guest volume. Communicate and collaborate with fellow actors, operations, and technical staff to support smooth, high-quality show operations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Remain alert to safety concerns, guest issues, or policy violations and report them promptly. Follow all safety procedures, costume and makeup guidelines, and operational protocols to protect yourself, your team, and our guests.
Qualifications
  • Position Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.

Compensation & Employment Details
  • Hourly Rate: $20.00/hr
  • Employment Type: Seasonal/Temporary
  • Expected Season Duration: Late September – Early November 2026
  • Work Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and holidays required during operational season
  • This is a seasonal/temporary position with an anticipated end date. Employment beyond the stated season is not guaranteed.
  • Pursuant to California SB 1162, the hourly pay rate for this position is listed above. Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group will not request or consider salary history in making compensation decisions.
