Fuller Hospital in South Attleboro, MA, is seeking a per diem Activity Therapist to join its inpatient behavioral health unit. The role involves providing expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in a creative arts therapy modality and may have certification in Art Therapy; evening and weekend availability is required to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a creative arts therapy modality (art, music, dance), mental health counseling, or related field required.
• Art Therapy or other expressive art certification preferred.
• Evening and Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate 4-5 groups per day.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with treatment team via planning and meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Activity / Group Therapist Opportunity - Per Diem

Fuller Hospital is a 109-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. Fuller Hospital also provides a less intensive Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) to patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.

The Activity Therapist is an important member of the Fuller Hospital's inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Activity Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Fuller Hospital's inpatient psychiatric units.
