Job summary

Hebrew Educational Society in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Activity Specialist - Karate to lead after-school karate for K–5 students. You will plan age-appropriate lessons, teach proper techniques, and foster discipline, respect and sportsmanship in a safe, inclusive environment.

• Ensure participant safety during all instructional activities.
• Monitor participant progress and encourage skill development.
• Collaborate with program staff to support participant engagement and positive behavior.

Minimum Qualifications:

Hours of Program - Monday - Friday from 2:20PM - 5:30PM.
The position will be 3+ hours during the above timeframe? Experience teaching karate or martial arts to children.

• Appropriate martial arts certification, rank, or equivalent instructional experience.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom management techniques.
