Salary: $16.00 / hr - $20.00 / hr

Position Overview

• Conduct enjoyable recreation programs to keep residents energized, engaged, and mentally stimulated.
• Shift: Hours vary; mix of mornings and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Activities in planning and executing programs.
• Plan individual recreational and social activities with residents and report on their response.
• Prepare resident information for care planning and documentation; write progress notes.
• Develop and maintain contact with community resources.
• Maintain departmental inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain attendance records and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old; HS diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York Driver’s License with a clean record.
• Ability to build relationships with staff, volunteers, families, and visitors.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and adapt activities to meet residents' needs.
• Understanding of residents' rights and needs.
• Physical stamina for constant activity.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
