Job summary

Homestead of Wamego is seeking an Activities Director to plan engaging events for our senior community. You will coordinate activities, create monthly calendars, newsletters, and postings, and ensure residents have varied opportunities.

Under the Executive Director's supervision, you will also manage plants and pet care, participate in in-service training, and contribute to a friendly, active living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience planning activities for groups and individuals in a community setting.
• Ability to create engaging monthly activity calendars and newsletters.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities to meet residents' needs, including large group, small group, and individual participation.
• Compose monthly contributions, including the Activities calendar, newsletter, and postings on boards.

As the Activities Director, you will work under the general supervision of the Executive Director to:

• Plan activities to meet resident’s specific needs, to include large group, small group, and individual participation as scheduled.
• Compose monthly contributions, including the monthly Activities calendar, pass out newsletter, post daily contributions on menu board, date board and pass out name tags.
• Plant and Pet care.
• Participate in Department in-service training.
