Job summary

Infinity Healthcare Consulting seeks an experienced Activity Director to lead the Activity Department in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Illinois, planning and directing activities to support residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in line with regulations.

You will facilitate group and 1-on-1 activities, coordinate outings and events, track attendance, and collaborate with all disciplines to ensure patient-centered care while protecting HIPAA and Residents' Rights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years experience in Activities Department in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Facilitate group activities.
• Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance.
• Assist in keeping activity supplies clean and organized.
• Assist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activities.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Activity Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and our established policies and procedures. The Activity Director must assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
