Courtyard Village at Raleigh Hills in Portland, OR is seeking an Activity Director to plan and lead resident programming, including monthly calendars of physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual activities.

You will organize outings, supervise activities staff and volunteers, and evaluate program effectiveness to keep activities meaningful for residents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in activities, recreation, or programming in independent senior living, or retirement community.
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with older adults and a gift for sparking engagement.
• Strong leadership skills; supervisory experience preferred.
• Highly organized, creative, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Flexible availability including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead resident programming with a monthly calendar for physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual activities.

• Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and resident satisfaction and adjust as needed.

• Coordinate with volunteers, church groups, community organizations, and other departments to enrich resident experience.

Activity Director

Courtyard Village at Raleigh Hills, located in Portland, Oregon is currently seeking an Activity Director to join our team.

Activity Director duties and responsibilities:

• Plan and lead resident programming. Develop and implement a monthly calendar of individual and group activities — physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual — tailored to resident interests.
• Get out in the community. Organize and accompany residents on outings, day trips, and adventures that bring joy and connection beyond our walls.
• Lead a team. Supervise, train, schedule, and support activities staff and volunteers, and conduct regular performance appraisals.
• Measure what matters. Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and resident satisfaction and make adjustments to keep programming fresh and meaningful.
• Keep things running smoothly. Maintain the monthly activities calendar, manage department supplies inventory within budget, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Be a community connector. Coordinate with volunteers, church groups, community organizations, and other departments to enrich the resident experience.

Wage negotiable based on experience; $30-$31 per hour.
