Job summary

Stoneybrook Assisted Living in Manhattan, KS seeks an Activities Director to design and implement programs for active seniors. You will plan events, coordinate large and small group activities, and manage monthly calendars and communications to the community.

The role involves collaborating with the Executive Director, and contributing to an employee-friendly environment while delivering engaging activities and care for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience planning group and individual activities for seniors.
• Ability to create monthly activity calendars and newsletters.
• Strong communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities to meet residents' specific needs, including large-group, small-group, and individual participation.
• Prepare monthly contributions, including the Activities calendar and newsletter; post daily updates.
• Assist with plant and pet care activities as needed.
• Participate in department in-service training.

As the Activities Director, you will work under the general supervision of the Executive Director to:

• Plan activities to meet resident’s specific needs, to include large group, small group, and individual participation as scheduled.
• Compose monthly contributions, including the monthly Activities calendar, pass out newsletter, post daily contributions on menu board, date board and pass out name tags.
• Plant and Pet care.
• Participate in Department in-service training.
