Courtland Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center is looking for an experienced Activities Director to lead the Activities Department and enhance resident programs. You will plan and oversee activity initiatives, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with regulations to improve quality of life for Residents.

Responsibilities include program development, care planning input, budget management, and staff recruitment support in a long-term care setting.

Qualificações

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent is required.
• ADC certification by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals or eligibility.
• Experience as an Activity Director in a Long Term Care setting is required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the Activity Department operations, supervise staff, and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop and implement engaging activity programs that meet residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
• Manage departmental budget within guidelines and monitor expenditures.
• Observe resident attendance and behavior, documenting changes for care planning.
• Participate in care plan meetings with observations and recommendations for Resident needs.
• Welcome new Residents and assist with transitions into the facility.
• Complete administrative tasks including charting and reports, and assist with MDS portions on time.
• Assist in recruiting and selecting Activity staff.

Summary/Objective

In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Residents we serve, the Director of Activities is responsible for the planning, development and overall operation of the Activities Department which implements and directs activity programs that meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of Residents.

Essential Functions

1. Responsible for the overall operations of the facility’s Activity Department which includes supervision of staff, development and implementation of departmental policy and procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local regulations.
2. Regularly develops new programs to meet new trends and industry standards.
3. Responsible for operating the Activities department within budgetary guidelines and limitations.
4. Observe and report Resident’s attendance, participation, and behavior changes by documenting and charting.
5. Participates in the care planning process by attending care plan meetings, providing specific information and observations of the Resident’s needs, preferences and report any behavioral changes.
6. Meet and great all new Residents and residents upon arrival to the facility.
7. Performs administrative tasks such as charting, care planning, reports and etc. Completes assigned MDS portions accurately and on time.
8. Assists with the recruitment and selection of Activity staff.

This position may have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma/Equivalent
• Be certified or eligible for certification as an activity director certified (ADC) by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals
• Activity Director Experience in a Long Term Care Setting
