Job summary

Gracy Woods II Living Center seeks an enthusiastic Activity Director to enhance residents' quality of life. You will plan and coordinate activities across physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, and cognitive domains, while greeting new residents and families upon move-in.

The role includes arranging visits from community groups, decorating spaces for events, and collaborating with care teams. Strong English, organization, and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Certification as required by State regulations for activities.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with seniors and ability to work flexible days.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly newsletters for residents and families.
• Develop and pursue varied activity programs balancing physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and cognitive elements.
• Greet new residents and families to welcome them to the facility.
• Coordinate with community groups for special programs.
• Decorate common areas for events and holidays.
• Maintain inventory and manage activity budget.
• Attend weekly Care Plan Meetings.

Gracy Woods II Living Center is seeking a highly motivated and personable Activity Director to enrich the lives of our resident's quality of life. The candidate should have the following characteristics and or experience.

Activity Director Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly newsletter for distribution to all residents and families.
• Develop and pursues a varied program of meaningful activities and events that is balanced in the physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational and cognitive elements.
• Meets and greets each person upon move-in to welcome them and their family and friends to the facility.
• Arranges for community groups to come into the Facility such as pet therapy, schools, churches and entertainers.
• Decorates the common areas for special events and holidays.
• Conducts individual and group interactions.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and manages budget.
• Attends weekly Care Plan Meetings
• Documents on Resident participation
• Activity Director Job Requirements:
• Certification as required by State regulations for activities.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Compassionate spirit and enthusiasm for working with the elderly.
• Experience working with seniors. Ability to work flexible days between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm and weekends on occasion.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.
• Computer experience and ability to-use or learn to use software programs.
• MDS experience preferred but not required.
