Job summary

Courtland Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Courtland, VA, is hiring an Activity Assistant to create and implement stimulating programs for residents, focusing on physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs. You will work under the Director of Activities and contribute to a caring environment with a focus on patient dignity.

The role involves coordinating with volunteers, greeting new residents, and ensuring infection control and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in an Activity Aide role.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities meeting resident needs for large groups, small groups or individuals.
• Observe and report resident attendance, participation and behavior changes.
• Be knowledgeable of individual care plans and support care planning with observations.
• Coordinate activity programs with volunteers from the community.
• Greet new residents and welcome them to the facility.
• Maintain infection control and safety practices during tasks and with equipment.
