Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, operating Ivy Living communities, seeks an Activity Coordinator for Evergreen Memory Care to organize engaging activities, plan excursions, and promote resident participation. The role supports a warm, social environment focused on independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, communicating with residents and families, and ensuring safety while assisting with transportation using community vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Vaccination/testing requirements may apply per regulatory guidelines.

• Organize, schedule, and promote activities for Memory Care to enhance residents' independence.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.

Position: Activity Coordinator, Memory Care

Shifts, Time, and Days: Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8:30 am- 5 pm

Pay Range: $20/hr.

The Activity Coordinator is responsible for assisting with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing the activities and excursions for Evergreen Memory Care in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured Traditions area. Promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other such activities.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
