Job summary

Ivy Park at Escondido, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks an Activity Coordinator to organize and promote activities for Memory Care residents, enhancing independence and quality of life.

The role supports a memory care program, requires effective communication, and includes driving responsibilities in a supportive team environment at a California campus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and PPE per regulatory guidelines may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Memory Care Director in providing a rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Traditions area with high-quality activities and events.
• Promote resident participation through scheduled activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, and classes.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles and support teamwork across departments.

Position: Activity Coordinator, Memory Care

Shifts, Time, and Days: Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8:30 am- 5 pm

Pay Range: $20/hr.

The Activity Coordinator is responsible for assisting with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing the activities and excursions for Evergreen Memory Care in order to enhance the residents independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured Traditions area. Promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other such activities.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
