Qualifications

• 1-year experience in planning and implementing resident activities, 2 years preferred.
• Knowledgeable in evaluating resident needs and supervising employees.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 Hourly

Activity Coordinator Role

The purpose of the Activity Coordinator role is to develop, coordinate and implement a varied range of activities that address residents’ social, cognitive and recreational needs. This includes:

• Organizing fellowship and worship opportunities
• Planning social activities and excursions
• Designing cognitive-enhancing programs and activities
• Encouraging community participation
• Supporting residents’ adjustments to life in Independent and Residential Care

Qualifications

1. High School diploma with some college, or related training preferred.
2. 1-year experience in planning, implementing and evaluating resident activities. 2 years preferred.
3. Knowledgeable in evaluating resident needs, supervising other employees and training volunteers.

Other Specialized Knowledge and Abilities

This position requires incumbent to have:

1. Excellent English written and verbal language skills
2. Excellent listening and response skills in communicating with staff, residents, family members, community resource staff, visitors, and the public.
3. Must be able to project cheerfulness and enthusiasm throughout the community.
