Job summary

Juniper Communities is seeking a full-time assistant for the Connections program to enhance daily resident activities and overall wellbeing in our community. You will support planning, coordinating, and evaluating engaging activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional health for seniors.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and CPR/First Aid certification, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, or Gerontology.

• CPR and First Aid certification required

• Entering resident information in multiple systems
• Attending care plan meetings with families and residents

• Planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Connections activity program for the community

Role:

Assists in the creation, planning and implementation of the Connections program - the daily activities for our residents. You will ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well being.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or other related field (Preferred)
• Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting (Preferred)
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid state driver's license (Required)
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid
