Job summary

Juniper Communities in Centre County, State College, is seeking a dedicated Activities Coordinator to support the Connections program for residents. You will plan daily activities to enhance leisure, physical and mental well-being. Full-time role, 12:30 pm–8:00 pm, every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Enter resident information in multiple systems.
• Attend care plan meetings with families and residents.
• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Connections activity program.

Role

Assists in the creation, planning and implementation of the Connections program - the daily activities for our residents. You will ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well being.

Responsibilities

• Entering resident information in multiple systems
• Attending care plan meetings with families and residents
• Collecting resident profiles
• Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the Connections activity program for the community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or other related field (Preferred)
• Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting (Preferred)
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid state driver's license (Required)
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid
