Job summary

Castle Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant for Grand Hills Castle in New Berlin, WI. This part-time role focuses on engaging seniors, coordinating activities, and creating meaningful, enjoyable experiences for residents.

You will support activity programs that promote socialization, wellness, independence, and joy, working closely with the Life Enrichment Director. Weekend and evening availability may be required for special events.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in activities, recreation, customer service, hospitality, education, childcare, senior living or healthcare preferred but not required.
  • Passion for working with seniors and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Positive, outgoing and energetic personality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to engage groups of varying interests and abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for special events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs.
  • Lead and support group activities, games, exercise programs, crafts, educational events, and social gatherings.
  • Encourage resident participation and engagement in community activities.
  • Assist with community outings and special events.
  • Help decorate the community for holidays, celebrations, and themed events.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
  • Assist with activity setup, cleanup, and organization of supplies.
  • Transport or escort residents to activities as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining activity calendars, attendance records, and resident participation logs.
  • Support volunteer activities and community partnerships.
  • Work collaboratively with caregivers, nursing staff, culinary services, and leadership to enhance resident experiences.
  • Ensure programs are welcoming, inclusive, and adapted to residents' varying abilities and interests.

As a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting activity programs that promote socialization, wellness, independence, and joy for our residents.

Position Summary

The Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of engaging programs and events that enhance residents' quality of life. Working closely with the Life Enrichment / Activities Director, this position helps create opportunities for residents to stay active, connected, and engaged within the community. This is a part-time role, with no weekend requirement at this time. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dependable, outgoing, and enjoys spending time with seniors while creating memorable experiences.
