Job summary

Harmon Hospital is seeking a part-time Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of our senior residents through creative, engaging activities. This role supports the Activity Director and helps plan and execute daily programs that promote cognitive, social, and physical well-being.

A positive, energetic approach is essential to bring joy to our community. The position offers a part-time schedule with a day shift (8am–4:30pm) and a competitive salary range via posted wages.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; college credits preferred.
• Aptitude for arts and crafts is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; proof of liability insurance required.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement activities for patients and residents.
• Assist with transporting, setting up for activities inside and outside the facility; order materials as needed.
• Conduct one-on-one activity therapy and group activities to support progress.

Posted Salary Range

USD $16.00 - USD $21.50 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Activity Assistant will work side by side with the Activity Director assisting with the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of activities for our patients and residents including:

• Assist with the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of activities for our patients and residents.
• Assist with transporting, communicating, and setting up for activities in and out of the facility on a regular basis; as well as order and pick up the materials for the activities (as needed).
• Conduct one-on-one activity therapy to offer sensory stimulation and group activities to ensure patients and residents make personal progress.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; college credits are preferred
• Preferred aptitude for, and some training in, arts and crafts
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and provide proof of liability insurance required
• Must have reliable transportation
