Job summary

Pana Health & Rehab Center in Pana, IL, is seeking a compassionate Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging programs for residents. This part-time role focuses on entertainment, exercise, and social interaction to enhance quality of life.

You will help schedule activities, prepare calendars, document participation, and foster a warm, resident-centered environment, while collaborating with the care team to meet individual resident needs.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience preferred, especially in long-term care or senior activities.
• Creative, energetic, and passionate about working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities focused on entertainment, exercise, fun, and relaxation for residents
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and carrying out daily activity programs
• Help prepare and distribute activity calendars and communication materials
• Document resident participation and activity involvement
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Encourage participation and create enthusiasm for activities and events

Your Role

The Activity Assistant supports the Activity Director in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational programs designed to meet the individualized interests and needs of our residents.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide activities focused on entertainment, exercise, fun, and relaxation for residents

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and carrying out daily activity programs

• Help prepare and distribute activity calendars and communication materials

• Document resident participation and activity involvement

• Build positive relationships with residents and their families

• Encourage participation and create enthusiasm for activities and events

• Support a warm, engaging, and resident-focused environment

• Complete additional duties as assigned by management
