Job summary

Medical Suites at Oak Creek in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to join our Life Enrichment Team. This full-time role supports residents' emotional well-being through meaningful engagement, under the direction of the Activity Director.

You will plan and lead recreational and therapeutic activities, encourage participation, assist with outings, and collaborate with nursing staff to meet individual care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in long-term care, social services, or activities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and carry out recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Engage residents in group and one-on-one programs to promote socialization and wellbeing.
• Encourage participation based on interests, abilities, and care plans.
• Assist with setting up, transporting, and escorting residents to activities safely.
• Support outings, special events, and holiday celebrations.
• Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program areas.
• Document attendance and responses to activities.
• Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident needs and preferences.

Medical Suites at Oak Creek is seeking a compassionate and motivated Activity Aide to join our Life Enrichment Team in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. This unique opportunity allows you to make a difference with our residents, supporting their emotional well-being and enhancing their daily lives through meaningful engagement.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in long-term care, social services, or activities is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
• Ability to work occasional weekends or evenings for special events

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and carrying out recreational and therapeutic activities for residents under the direction of the Activity Director
• Engage residents in group and one-on-one programs to promote socialization, physical movement, and overall well-being
• Encourage residents to participation in activities based on individual interests, abilities, and care plans
• Help set up, transport, and escort residents to and from activity programs safely
• Provide support during outing, special events, and holiday celebrations
• Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program areas in a clean and organized manner
• Document resident attendance, participation levels, and responses to activities as directed
• Communicate with nursing staff and other team members regarding resident needs and preferences
