Job summary

Fair Oaks Health Care Center in Crystal Lake, IL is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to join our on-site team. You will show up smiling, run programs according to our monthly calendar, interact with residents throughout the day, complete assessments as needed, and help plan activities for the following month.

The role includes encouraging participation, documenting progress, greeting residents at each shift, and following the calendar.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old or older.
• Must enjoy getting to know and working with the elderly.
• Must be positive and have the ability to spread smiles.

Responsibilities

• Begin each shift by greeting all residents.
• Review the activities for your shift and prepare supplies needed.
• Encourage residents to attend activities for your shift.
• Smile and be joyful.
• Perform assessments and documentation as needed.
• Follow the calendar.
• Spend significant time with residents and get to know them.

Job description

Location: Fair Oaks Health Care Center - Crystal Lake, IL (on-site position)

Status: Part-Time

Schedule: Every other weekend 8:30am to 3:30pm OR 3:30pm to 7:30pm. Also available 3:30pm to 7:30 pm some week days.

Job Summary:

Show up smiling. Run programs according to our monthly calendar. Interact with residents throughout the day. Complete assessments as needed. Help plan the activities for the following month. Encourage all residents to participate in activities. Perform one to ones and document as needed.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Begin each shift by greeting all residents
• Review the activities for your shift and prepare/gather any and all supplies needed.
• Encourage residents to attend activities for your shift (talk them up!)
• Smile and be joyful
• Perform assessments and documentation as needed
• Follow the calendar
• As an activity team member, you spend the most time with our residents, get to know them.

What You Can Expect:
