Job summary

Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Moline, Illinois is seeking an Activity Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through meaningful programs.

You will plan and lead a variety of activities—from crafts to exercise classes—tailoring sessions to individual interests while promoting social interaction and fun. The role supports the Activities Director and contributes to a warm, engaged community on site.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement individualized activities for residents, taking into account their interests, abilities, and needs
  • Lead group activities, such as exercise classes, card games, and arts and crafts, and ensure resident participation and engagement
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement an activity calendar that caters to the needs and interests of our residents
  • Encourage resident participation in activities, foster socialization, and build relationships with residents
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance and resident feedback
  • Participate in facility events and celebrations, such as birthdays, holidays, and special occasions
