Job summary

Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation in Columbus, Indiana is seeking compassionate Activity Assistants to support the Activity Director in meaningful programs aligned with our facility's philosophy and policies.

You will encourage resident participation, maintain activity records, assist with seasonal activities and assessments, and help integrate the activity department with other teams to deliver exceptional resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Indiana driver's license required.
• Ability to read and write in English and communicate with residents and families.
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend as needed.
• Knowledge of arts, crafts, music and group activities.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation is seeking Activity Assistants-

• To encourage residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• To maintain all records relating to activities and complete all paperwork on a timely basis.
• Assist with seasonal activities and bulletin boards.
• Complete initial activity interest assessment
• Assist the Activity Director in integrating the activity department with other departments

About you:

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

• High School Graduate or its equivalent is preferred
• Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.
• Ability to read and write in English, ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies.
• Must be capable of extended periods of standing and bending.
• Knowledge of arts, crafts, music and group activities.
