Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility in Columbus, Indiana, is seeking compassionate Activity Assistants to join our care team. You will assist the Activity Director in planning meaningful programs, maintain activity records, and support residents through engaging events.

The ideal candidate is a high school graduate with good English, mobility to stand and bend, and an interest in arts and crafts.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Indiana driver's license.
• Ability to read and write in English and communicate with residents and staff.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend.
• Knowledge of arts, crafts, music and group activities.

Responsibilities

• Encourage residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• Maintain records relating to activities and complete paperwork on time.
• Assist with seasonal activities and bulletin boards.
• Complete initial activity interest assessment.
• Assist the Activity Director in integrating the activities with other departments.

About the Role:

Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation is seeking Activity Assistants-

• To encourage residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• To maintain all records relating to activities and complete all paperwork on a timely basis.
• Assist with seasonal activities and bulletin boards.
• Complete initial activity interest assessment
• Assist the Activity Director in integrating the activity department with other departments

About you:

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

• High School Graduate or its equivalent is preferred
• Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.
• Ability to read and write in English, ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies.
• Must be capable of extended periods of standing and bending.
• Knowledge of arts, crafts, music and group activities.
