Lincolnshire Health and Rehabilitation Center in Merrillville, Indiana, is seeking an Activity Aide to enhance residents' quality of life through engaging activities and social interaction. You will help plan, implement, and evaluate programs, and support ADLs while promoting safety and well-being.

The role offers flexible hours, includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires a high school diploma with a willingness to learn and grow within our compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; degree in recreation therapy, therapeutic recreation, or related field preferred.
• 0 years of experience; willingness to learn and grow with our team.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsabilités

• Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational activities for residents, including group activities, outings, and one-on-one sessions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure successful program operations.
• Assist with maintaining accurate records and reports, including activity calendars, participant records, and program evaluations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless implementation of activities and programs.
• Provide support to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and clean Activity Department.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

Degree in recreation therapy, therapeutic recreation, or related field
