Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant at Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cuero, TX. The role focuses on facilitating activities for residents, coordinating group and individual sessions, and supporting social programs to enhance quality of life.

Candidates with a high school diploma and prior experience in long-term care activities are preferred; certification as a nurse aide is a plus.

Qualifications

• A school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
• A Certified Nurse Aide is preferred.
• Experience in activity or recreational dept in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group activities based on residents' needs.
• Ensure activities occur for both high and low functioning residents.
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities.
• Provide activities for bedfast residents (one-to-one) and document in records.
• Assist with monthly calendar preparation and posting for residents and in rooms.
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter.
• Participate in community events and in-services as necessary.
• Assist residents to and from activities and support night/weekend activities.
• Deliver resident mail daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director or Administrator.

Job Details: Job Location: Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - Cuero, TX 77954, Position Type: Part Time, Primary Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Facilitate both individual and group activities based on the individual needs of the residents.
• Ensure that activities are occurring for both high and low functioning residents
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities
• Provide activities for residents that are bedfast and/or unable to participate in group activities (one to one) and document in the appropriate record
• Assist with the preparation of monthly calendar and posting in an area accessible, highly visible and frequented by residents and visitors. Calendar should also be provided to each resident and posted in room
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter
• Participate in community events related to the interest of the facility.
• Attend in-services as necessary
• Assist residents to and from activities
• Assist with activity program including Residents' Council and night and weekend activities as needed
• Deliver resident mail daily
• Other duties as assigned by the Activity Director and/or Administrator

Qualifications: Educational/Training Requirements

• A school diploma or its equivalent is preferred

Licensing Requirements

• A Certified Nurse Aide is preferred

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience working in activity or recreational department in the long-term care industry or related industry is preferred
