Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a part-time Activities Aide at a Cuero, TX facility. The role involves planning and facilitating resident activities, coordinating group and individual programs, and assisting with calendars and newsletters.

Experience in long-term care activities is preferred. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred Certified Nurse Aide credentials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group activities based on residents' needs
• Ensure activities occur for high and low functioning residents
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities
• Provide one-to-one activities for bedfast residents and document in records
• Assist with monthly calendar preparation and posting for residents and visitors
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter
• Participate in community events related to the facility
• Attend in-services as necessary
• Assist residents to and from activities and with night/weekend activities
• Deliver resident mail daily
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director/Administrator

Essential Functions

• Facilitate both individual and group activities based on the individual needs of the residents.
• Ensure that activities are occurring for both high and low functioning residents
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities
• Provide activities for residents that are bedfast and/or unable to participate in group activities (one to one) and document in the appropriate record
• Assist with the preparation of monthly calendar and posting in an area accessible, highly visible and frequented by residents and visitors. Calendar should also be provided to each resident and posted in room
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter
• Participate in community events related to the interest of the facility.
• Attend in-services as necessary
• Assist residents to and from activities
• Assist with activity program including Residents' Council and night and weekend activities as needed
• Deliver resident mail daily
• Other duties as assigned by the Activity Director and/or Administrator
