Job summary

NEWCare, Inc. is seeking an energized Activity Aide to support the Activity Director in planning and implementing activities for residents in a skilled nursing facility.

The role involves helping residents participate in meaningful, person-centered activities on site in a compassionate environment. Full-time and/or part-time hours are available, with weekday schedules and occasional weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.

We are seeking applications for a full-time and/or part-time, energetic, Activity Aide for our skilled nursing facility to assist the Activity Director with planning and implementation of individual and group activities. If you enjoy spending time with the elderly and engaging them in purposeful activities, then this is a position for you. Applicants with previous experience in long-term care such as Certified Nurse Aides and Direct Support Professionals who are enthusiastic about interacting with the elderly will also be considered. Full-time hours would be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Part-time hours would be Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or Tuesday and Thursday, six (6) hours/day, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Some weekends and holidays if needed. Rate of pay is $14.00/hour.
