Job summary

Arc at Dwight seeks an Activity Aide to help plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for residents, in line with assessments and care plans.

You will support the Activities Department by planning, organizing, and charting daily programs, preparing rooms, and guiding residents in activities to promote wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
