About the Role

As an Activity Aide at Newark Rehabilitation, you will play a crucial role in creating a stimulating and engaging environment for our patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized activity plans that cater to each patient's unique needs, interests, and abilities. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the planning and implementation of recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and excursions
• Providing support and supervision to patients during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Maintaining accurate records of patient participation, progress, and feedback
• Collaborating with our therapy team to develop and adapt activities to meet patient goals and outcomes
• Participating in meetings and contributing to the development of activity programs and policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, geriatric care, or recreational therapy preferred
