Job summary

Complete Care is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to plan and lead daily recreational and social activities, bringing engagement and joy to residents. You will support the Director of Activities and help create a welcoming, home-like environment for seniors.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a positive, customer-focused mindset, and good communication skills. Training is provided, with opportunities for development in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in an Activity Aide role or healthcare setting is preferred, but training is available.
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• A genuine passion for enriching the lives of seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating and leading daily recreational, social, and therapeutic programs.
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support during activities as needed.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation.
• Help decorate Complete Care for holidays, seasonal events, and special celebrations.
• Prepare activity materials and ensure activity spaces remain organized and inviting.
• Support community events and special programs that enhance the resident experience.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Activities or Administrator.

Activity Aide Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous experience as an Activity Aide or in a long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or customer service setting is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated candidates.
