Job summary

WeCare Centers at Sycamore Care Center in Montoursville, PA is seeking an Activity Aide to provide residents with exciting and resident-centered recreation programs. You will assist in planning, preparing, and executing activities, and lead group and 1:1 sessions while maintaining a safe, homelike environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; a creative background; and professional communication with residents, families, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Creative background is preferred.
• Previous long-term care or elderly care experience is preferred.
• Must communicate professionally with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Ability to follow step-by-step procedures and programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing and executing activities.
• Lead and participate in group activities.
• Lead 1:1 activities with residents.
• Ensure a safe, home-like environment for residents.
• Attend and participate in continuing education programs.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning activity spaces.

WeCare Centers at Sycamore Care Center is actively seeking motivated Activity Aide for our community in Montoursville, PA. Our Activity Aides provide the residents exciting, stimulating, and resident centered recreation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and executing of activities
• Participate and lead group activities.
• Participate and lead 1:1 activity.
• Assure a safe and home like environment for our residents.
• Attends and participates in continuing education programs.
• Assist in the set - up and clean-up of activity space.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
• Creative background.
• Previous long-term care or experience working with the elderly or differently abled is preferred.
• Communicates professionally with all residents, family members, staff, and visitors.
• Ability to follow step by step procedures and programs.
