Job summary

Arcadia-Ltc- is seeking an Activity Aide to support planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational and social programs for residents. You will assist in organizing activities, prepare rooms, and help guide residents through scheduled and unscheduled events to enhance physical, social and mental well-being.

Ideal candidates have experience in long term care activities, and demonstrate patience, tact, cheerfulness, enthusiasm and the ability to work with residents at varying maturity

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Oversee residents’ engagement in activities to support well-being.

Activity Aide

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Essential Duties

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.

Preferred Qualifications
