Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Springdale, AR, is seeking a Certified Activities Supervisor to plan, develop, and direct engaging activity programs that meet residents' emotional, social, and recreational needs. Qualifications

• Previous Activity Supervisor experience preferred.
• Must be self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and proficient in English.
• Experience in Long Term Care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activity programs with residents, families, staff and community agencies.
• Develop and coordinate facility volunteer program.
• Assist in identifying and monitoring residents' spiritual, social, recreational and emotional needs.
• Complete activity portion on the resident assessment instrument and care plan timely.
• Participate in Care Plan meetings.

We are in search of aCertified Activities Supervisor

To plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Activity Programs in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the emotional, recreational and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.

• - Coordinate the activities programs with the residents, their families, staff members and community agencies through interviews, consultations and direct involvement in the programs.
• - Develop and coordinate facility volunteer program.
• - Assist in identifying and monitoring the spiritual, social, recreational and emotional needs of the residents through routine interviews, visits and consultations with residents and their families.
• - Complete activity portion on the resident assessment instrument and care plan in a timely and accurate manner.
• - Participate in Care Plan meetings.

Qualifications:

• 1.Previous Activity Supervisor experience preferred
• 2. Must be self-motivated and work independently, must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
• 3. Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• 4. Must be at least 18 years of age
• 5. Must speak, read, write and understand English
• 6. Experience in Long Term Care setting preferred
