Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking an Activities Assistant to support residents’ social, emotional, and physical well-being in our Spencer County facility. You will help plan and deliver engaging in-house activities and coordinate with the community to promote events.

Previous experience in activities or healthcare is preferred but not required; CNA is a plus. You’ll work to meet state scheduling standards and contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered culture at Signature HealthCARE.

Qualifications

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities to meet the social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents.
• Assist in the initiation and promotion of activities both within the facility and outside the facility.
• Provide in room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in the creation of an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation.
• Solicit the involvement of the community when planning facility activities and events.
