Job summary

Pleasant Valley Healthcare Center in Point Pleasant, WV is looking for an energetic Activities Leader to provide individualized activity care for residents and work as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will help residents stay engaged, social, and active, turning aging and rehabilitation into positive experiences.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, creative, and reliable, comfortable with confused residents, and able to plan and conduct activities with compassion and dedication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Prior experience preferably with related software applications.
• Must possess an active state driver’s license.
• Basic computer literacy and skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities for residents.
• Work directly with residents to encourage socialization and community involvement.
• Be gentle, responsible, and hard-working while supporting aging, rehabilitation, and recovery.
