Job summary

Legends Global in Chicago, IL, seeks an Activities Instructor to lead basketball and flag football programs at Soldier Field. This part-time, non-exempt role requires delivering engaging drills, following a curriculum, and maintaining a positive, safe environment for participants of varying ages and abilities.

You will prepare lesson plans, track attendance, adapt to different skill levels, and communicate with participants, families, and facility staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess current Red Cross CPR certification, Certified Instructor (ACE, AFAA) or equivalent.
• Additional specialty/certifications preferred.
• Have working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principles.
• Group fitness teaching strategies with music, tempo, technique, and rhythm.

Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION

With passion and dedication to excellence, the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center's Activities Instructor will lead sports and fitness programming at the facility by applying proven instruction methods that both inspire and guide each and every participant regardless of age, experience, or knowledge of a wide variety of different recreational activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise age-appropriate sports programs, primarily Basketball and Flag Football.
• Teach fundamental skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and game concepts.
• Follow curriculum and develop engaging drills, activities, and structured lesson plans as needed.

HOURS

This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

$19.00
