Job summary

Paycom seeks an Activities Director in Chickasha, OK to develop and implement engaging programs for residents. You will ensure activities align with resident preferences and facility goals while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires state licensure/registration and eligibility for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a recreational program within a health care facility.
• Licensed or registered by the State and eligible for therapeutic recreation certification.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in a recreational program in a health care facility
• Licensed or registered by the State and certified or eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation or completed training course approved by the State.
• Ability to read and write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and facility staff
• Ability to make oral presentations to groups and individuals
• Ability to organize, plan and work autonomously
• Ability to teach, direct and supervise people and motivate residents into meaningful activities
• Attributes of flexibility, patience and creativity
• Ability to acquire knowledge of, comprehend and work under Federal, State and local regulations and facility policies, procedures and programs
• Ability to perform effectively under stress
• Ability to direct, delegate and follow-up on programs and care of the residents
