Job summary

Stratford Commons Memory Care Community within Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking an Activities Director to plan and implement activity programs that meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical needs of memory care residents.

The role requires a passion for working with seniors, a flexible, energetic personality, and relevant education/licensing. Experience in a health care setting and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or related area. Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activity programs to meet residents' social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs.
• Ensure activities align with the comprehensive resident care plan and adapt to residents’ evolving needs.
