Job summary

Concordia at SpiriTrust – Kelly Drive in York, PA, is seeking a compassionate, creative Activity Director to lead our resident activity program and oversee engagement across social, physical, intellectual, recreational, and spiritual dimensions.

The role involves developing a weekly activity calendar, coordinating outings and events, and facilitating Resident Council meetings to address resident concerns. This is a Monday–Friday exempt salary position in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Recreation Therapy or related field recommended.
• At least two years of experience in a long-term care activity department preferred.
• Background or experience in music, art, drama, or dance therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate engaging activities that support residents’ social, physical, intellectual, recreational, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and maintain a weekly activity calendar with a variety of exercise, social, creative, sensory, memory-enhancement, outdoor, and seasonal activities.
• Coordinate resident outings, special events, holiday celebrations, and facility decorations.
• Facilitate Resident Council meetings and follow up on resident concerns.

The Activity Director is responsible for planning and implementing engaging programs designed to meet thesocial, physical, intellectual, recreational, and spiritual needs of our residents.

Typical schedule for the Activity Director is Monday-Friday, hours are dependent on the activities going on. This is an exempt Salary position.
