Job summary

Palm Garden of West Palm Beach is seeking an Activities Director / Life Enrichment Director to lead resident-centered programs at our Palm Garden facility in West Palm Beach, FL. You will collaborate with care teams to design engaging activities that enhance residents’ quality of life and promote meaningful daily experiences.

Qualifications

• Licensed or registered by the State as a Life Enrichment professional or therapeutic recreation specialist.
• 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, with 1 year in a Life Enrichment program in health care.

What You Will Do

• Schedule events, arrange supplies or entertainers and document resident participation as required.
• Organize and run activities like games, music, exercise, crafts or social events that keep residents engaged.

What We Are Looking For

• Is preferred to be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an Life Enrichment professional who is licensed or registered, if applicable, by the State in which practicing; and is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an Life Enrichment professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; or 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, 1 of which was full-time in a Life Enrichment program in a health care setting; or
• Is preferred to be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or has completed a training course approved by the State.
