Job summary

The Waterford at Round Rock is a premier retirement community in Round Rock, Texas, offering Therapeutic Recreation services for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. We seek an Activities professional to plan and implement engaging programs, create individualized activity plans, and promote resident well being.

Qualifed candidates will hold a BS in Therapeutic Recreation or related field, with preferred certification and 2+ years of activities management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field, certification as an Activity Professional preferred.
• Two years activities management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and implements activities for a seven-day week calendar.
• Identifies the special needs of each resident and creates a plan to accommodate those needs.
• Involves the resident in planning recreation objectives and goals for the resident.
• Integrates resident with the community through facility activities and outings.
• Creates a strong positive image and establishes good relationships within the community.
