Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare's Creekside Care Center in Ohio seeks an Activities Director to plan, create and implement engaging programs for residents, fostering socialization and daily living skills.

You will lead hobby-based activities, supervise an Activities Assistant, coordinate volunteers, and maintain records while ensuring dignity and warmth in all interactions. A licensed TRS or activities professional is required along with CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in a social or recreational program.
• Licensed and registered therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional.
• Certified as TRS/activities professional by a recognized accrediting body.
• Current first aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and implement meaningful activities for residents to promote socialization and daily living skills.
• Design programs to entertain, relax, and fulfill residents.
• Maintain records of activities, attendance, and calendars.
• Recruit, organize, and coordinate volunteers for activities.
• Oversee Activities Assistant(s) and review progress with team.
• Coordinate transportation for activities as needed.
• Engage in one-on-one visits, care plan meetings, and assessments.
